Is in 7 days!

I have one week in which to repair several pieces of garb, sew a new chemise, make Itzl some new doggie bags and clothes because I fear the Fair weather will be cold. I do at least have a nice new warm cloak that is wind and water proof.

I also still have damaged knees and no clue how I will cope with my usual Fair duties. It's a large-sized Fair and I generally briskly walk (according to last year's pedometer) 23 miles a day. I'm lucky now to hobble from the house to the car to my desk at work and back at the end of the day. Short distances on level ground and no more than 2 steps is all I can manage.

I'm going to look at canes at the Fair and see if I can find one that helps. My old shillelagh is too tall and lacks a good grip.

At least Conestoga is indoors and has elevators. I can handle that.

This year, for food, all I'm making is Scottish Eggs. The rest of our food will be Fair food - turkey legs for Itzl (and leftovers to bring home for Shika, who will not go with us because it stressed her out so much last year - we'll just hire a babysitter for her), and I have no idea what I'll eat other than roasted ears of corn, fried pickles, and Scottish Eggs. Maybe that will be enough.

I'd thought about buying a nice pirate bodice from Damsel in this Dress, but since I will have to hire a lawn service and someone to paint my house, that will have to wait another year.

So, if any of y'all are at MedFair, I'll be in one of three places: the office in the middle of the Fair, the Info Booth in the southwest corner of the Fair, or at Elm Tree Forge, backing along Jenkins - the Forge is where the marked crosswalk is in the middle of the block, and the fudge master is across from the Forge. If I'm not in one of those places, I am probably hobbling between them.

You'll recognizeme easily enough because I have Itzl hung around my neck in his carrier and will be wearing a green parsley-leaf design cloak lined in green.
