Oklahoma Snow

The snow fell- all half inch of it. It got very cold. The temperatures weren't so bad, but the wind chill was horrific. I drove to some of the places the homeless hang out and handed out blankets and tarps - the tarps aren't warm of themselves, but they provide dryness and they effectively block the wind. Wrap a tarp around a blanket,and you can get somewhat warm and dry - warm and dry enough to survive another day.

Then, the sun came out,the temperature rose to 40, and most of the snow melted. Those tarps and blankets will be useful tonight, in the muddy cold and wind.
