First, Shika dies unexpectedly, and now my daughter's kitty Keggers (aka Keegan) died.
He's been poorly all his life, ever since she found him broken in the hot summer street as a teeny weeks old kitten. His feet and hips were deformed so he never walked or jumped well. A more loving, clingy kitty never existed. He lived 7 years with digestive problems, deformities, and frailties. Last Tuesday, we took him to the vet because he stopped eating.
He had tumors in his belly, but he was too weak to operate. He died without ever stabilizing enough to see if the tumors were operable.
He's buried between the raspberries and the yellow rose bush, where he can be closer to the birds he loved to chirp at.
