Ebony's Pearls

Today is the day I do all the shopping and cooking for the Green Room.

My house is utter chaos with cases of water, sodas, ice chests, folding tables, and such for the Green Room.

On top of all of that, I have the mess of both a kitten and a puppy.

And then I'm sewing costumes for the costume contest at SoonerCon.

And into this chaos, my sister and her husband and their little dog walk to spend the evening and tomorrow with us. I just NOW found this out - they are already en route from Amarillo, TX and expect to be here by 6:00 p.m.

Now I have to have the living room cleaned, vacuumed, pet-proofed (their little dog eats ANYTHING she finds on the floor - the critters that live here all know better), most of the Green Room things packed in the car, everything cooked and bagged, and the sofa prepped for an overnight visit - by 6:00 p.m.instead of 11:00 p.m. as had been my previous plan.

Every one I could call on for emergency help is at work (oh the woes of having productive, self-supporting, fully employed friends!)

Somebody clone me, quick!
