Lost and Found

On the way to work today, I had what I think was a good, solid story idea; one that really got my fingers itching.

Then a traffic snarl took all my attention. When I had time to both recall the story and write it down - I'd forgotten everything except that I'd had this great idea.

Only maybe it wasn't such a good idea. If it had been good, wouldn't I remember at least some of it?

On the plus side, though, I wrote a new TwitterTale.

It may not be your focus, but, there's a twitter market for horror stories.

If you have one bend that way, you might want to try it out there: http://twitter.com/tweetthemeat

I had the exact same thing happen to me on Friday. I woke up from a dream that I remember would have made a fantastic story . . but by the time I got to pen and paper, I'd lost all of it.

Alas, that's all too common, for great ideas and otherwise. After having a few ideas burned out of my head in a similar fashion I will now right stuff down on receipts in my wallet if I have to.
