I'd best be careful putting my name to anything because it will lead directly back to me. I can't get up to weird hijinks unless I'm willing to have my name associated with it.
Ah well, having a rare name will make it easier to "brand" things with it. And - another up side to having a rare name - it's not likely to be stolen because the thief won't be able to hide among others of a like name.
I know there's a cartoon character bearing my name in England (I say it bears my name because I am older than the cartoon), and there's an old Elizabethan card game called "Noddy" - cribbage before the crib. It was described in Almond for Parrat in 1589.
Since the name's been around for so long, I wonder why fewer people are named "Noddy"?
