Mind, I may not get to all of these, this is just a list of things I hope to accomplish this coming year - big things, not the little, everyday things, or even the weekly things, but the once-a-year (or maybe, once-in-a-lifetime things).
These are the SF Conventions I'll be attending:

<a href="htp://wwwwsftulsa.org:>Conestoga - as a patron, paying our own way in. After last year's angstiness, we've decided that even though we may not get up there in time to attend any of the convention events on Friday night, we will still have a room for Friday night. It's worth it in order to have a room for retreats and visits Saturday morning and early afternoon. Besides, sometimes Itzl just needs to take a break and eat - he won't do those when he thinks he's on duty.
<a href=http://"www.soonercon.info">SoonerCon - I won't see much of this con because I will be running the Green Room with my Green room Minions. There will be hot and cold food, breakfast omelets, coffee, hot tea, cold tea, sodas, water, a message board, a large color-coded map, and extra copies of the program guide to help the guests plan their day. Ad we're prepared to offer anything else (within the realms of reason and possibility) to provide whatever else our honored guests need. Anyone who wants to volunteer as a minion will be greatly appreciated We always need runners to make sure water is available, to bring drinks and snacks and first aid supplies to our guests - or to help guests who are pinned down by a fan get away to their next program event.
FenCon - Again, we'll be here as patrons. FenCon is our favorite con to relax at and have fun.
Dig a bed for the black bamboo - I really, really want a bamboo screen on the east side of the yard to hide the fence I'm putting up for the little dogs. And I love the look of black bamboo. It's green while young and darkens to a lovely ebony as it ages - about 3 years old. Ad bamboo is not just ornamental, it's edible. Bamboo shoots - yum!
Put up front yard fence As much as I want the bamboo screen, I also want to fence the front yard so I can let the little dogs out and not worry as much about stray dogs coming after them. Since we live near a park, we have an amazing number of strays and lost dogs. Most just got away from their owners at the park and will be found son enough, but in the meantime, they run all over and chase cats and smaller dogs. A fence would be a good obstacle to slow them down as the little dogs dash back into the house.
Finish the walls in he bathroom and start collecting materials for the floor. - I have plenty of Zombie Maple limbs from which to choose to make the towel racks and hooks and the hidden cubby for spare toilet paper. I' thinking I may paint the walls a graded shade of green fading to blue towards the ceiling, with a blue ceiling. This will make a good background for the tree limb fixtures and set the forest floor off well. It will be a while before I get the floor in and I don't expect to get it done this year.
Fix the stairs to the attic - This one act will allow me to stash all he things we currently have in storage and save $50 a month. Most of what's in storage isn't my stuff, it belongs to others using me as storage while they serve our country or search for a new home.
Put together the agility toys for the dogs - I found tunnels small enough for them, and I built a few things. I need to arrange them and put them up for the dogs to use.
Move the strawberries - They've outgrown their current bed and need a better place to grow. I'll dig them up from their spot and put in something taller where they are now. I haven't decided what, yet.
Put up the front yard "office" Now that we have wireless, we can play on the computers outside, so I want to put up a comfy place outside where the dogs can play and we can both socialize and play on the computer. I have the patio blocks to put in, and I think I can afford the furniture. The Zombie Maple will provide the roof so we can have shade from Oklahoma's brutal sun. I will have to buy supports, but those are reasonable from the guy from whom I buy the stockade fencing and other hardware.
Wrk at MedFaire - This will be my 32 year working at MedFaire. I will be volunteering in the office and info booth, helping with set-up, ad then he" booth next year. That means either finding a new artist to hang out with or creating a booth we can have there instead. We're leaning towards creating a niche for ourselves at the Faire, open enough that we can still fulfill the fair volunteer duties. That will probably be a booth with pet stuff - wings, costumes, sport beverages...or a booth selling bubble wands and bubble juice. Or something.
Food Forever - Getting Food Forever up and working.
I'd wanted to get the wiring upgraded in my house but the accident took all that money, so I will have to wait another year or two before I can do that. That means putting off remodeling the laundry room to become a walk-in pantry, and a few other projects, so, that's pretty much it for this year on the big tings. Now, if I get a nice royalty check (and since most of them tend to be under $50, that's not likely), or make a big sale, or hustle on getting some write-for-hire and free-lance work, that may change. But for now, as my finances sit this year, that's the plan.
</lj-cut>
