My favorite movie - ever - is Harold and Maude. I have it and show it off, but almost no one seems to like it. Which is a shame, now that you make me think of it, because understanding this movie means you understand not only a good chunk of my outlook and philosophy on life but also my sense of humor AND get to hear my favorite musician do the soundtrack. I've already worn out two VHS copies of this and am now on a DVD (hooray, much sturdier).

I also adore the 1967 Bedazzled (not the new one) and Brewster McCloud - which again just about no one has seen; I guess because they are small cult classics that came out before most of my friends were born.

Once you get past those, I do have more in common with my peers - Tim Burton movies and other dark fantasies (among these, MirrorMask is my favorite), science fictions (I love Enemy Mine, Frequency, Dude, Where's My Car?), dance movies, and occassional "serious" movies thrown in (like Family Man with Nicolas Cage or Amistad - those movies are thought-provoking and elegant, which I always appreciate)

Maybe I should make a movie post, just for kicks.
