This certification is predominantly a ghost investigation one, but there is some head-nodding towards other paranormal phenomenon, such as cryptozoology and UFOs. There’s nothing about cryptobotany, which is one of my areas of interest, so I suppose I’ll have to introduce this topic to the school certifying me. My primary areas of interest are cryptozoology, cryptobotany, mythology, UFOs, hypersenses, unusual weather phenomena, psychic senses, and quantum and string theories. I don’t mind getting certified as a ghost investigator. Many of the same techniques apply across the board and the need to record the data and track information remains the same as well as the dynamics of holding an investigative team together.

I expect to have my certification complete by this weekend, and may move forward at that time to acquire the advanced team leader/organizer certification.

Oklahoma is a hotbed of cryptids of both the flora and fauna varieties. We have unexplained ghost towns and bizarre weather phenomena, a rich heritage of Native folklore and mythology, grafted on mythologies and cryptids from tribes relocated to Oklahoma, grafted on mythologies of the various settlers, and some unexplained aerial phenomena. There’s plenty of work here for several investigative teams.

I’m going to keep my range limited to what I can reach in a day trip and certainly no farther than a weekend’s activity.

I don’t know yet how Itzl will deal with these investigations. He may be either a help or a hindrance, and only time will tell how I will have to modify things to accommodate his presence.

Where are you getting your certification from?

ParaNexus. They seem to be the only ones who offer some limited college credit for it. The data they offer seems to be fairly standard fare, so I chose the one that had a small amount of accreditation.
