Ebony's Pearls

When I had to buy my new stove last November, I bought cheap wallpaper to put behind it.

Long ago, I learned that the spatters and such from the stove just won't clean well off a painted wall, so I've always put up inexpensive washable wallpaper and replaced it every couple of years,when it got to the the point where it wouldn't clean off anymore. I've had such paper last 5 years or so.

This time, I was in a hurry and bought really cheap wall paper - a dollar.

That was just 3 months ago.

I put new paper up today.

When my daughter came into the kitchen,the stove was still pulled from the wall. She asked, "What,did the wallpaper expire?"

I answered back that I wasn't willing to pay the rent for it any more as it was bad wallpaper.The heat was causing it to buckle and I wasn't happy with the color.

She shrugged and said I'd gotten a good deal - 33 cents a month and a penny service fee.

So,now I have a better quality wall paper up, gold and silver marbling that should look nice with the Blue Onion in the rest of the kitchen and the black and silver stove.
