Good luck! I suppose it could work if the plants were in windowboxes on shelves with fluorescent lighting to help them along - or hanging baskets near windows and - again - with fluorescent lighting to supplement any sunlight/daylight.

Yes, one way or the other they would need to be elevated. I'd have to figure out a good way to get the fluorescent lighting in...

BTW, your "Food Waste" entry is now printed (with comments) and settled comfortably in our kitchen. We're always on the lookout for ways to extend the life of our food.

I am thinking elevated is the way to go for my herb garden when fall comes (late September around here you can start expecting frost)... only thing is when I tried hanging plants off the wall brackets, they pulled out of the (exceedingly old) plaster!
