And then, while baking a blackberry cobbler, the oven decided that instead of baking at 350, it would set to bake *and* broil simultaneously, non-stop. Nothing actually caught on fire, but the blackberries - hand picked and canned - were nothing but carbon, and I'm just going to toss the casserole ('s Corningware, the cornflower blue pattern, and that's always showing up at thrift stores).
